Rollhome Privacy Policy
Summary
Rollhome is a personal photo backup app. It does not operate a public photo cloud and does not collect your photo library on developer servers. Photos leave the device only when you send them to a WebDAV or NAS destination that you configure.
Data Rollhome uses
Photos and videos. With your permission, the app reads original photo and video files from the iOS Photo Library, including Live Photos, so they can be copied to your server. We do not receive those files.
WebDAV credentials. Server address, username, and password are stored on device (password in Keychain) so the app can connect to your server. They are not sent to us.
Sync index. A local database on the device records which items were already backed up, to avoid duplicate uploads.
Purchases. Optional Rollhome Pro and tip purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit. We do not receive your Apple ID password or payment card details.
Device folder name. An on-device identifier and the device name may be used to create a per-device folder on your NAS. This stays on your device and your server.
Local network. The app may browse your Wi-Fi network to discover a NAS or WebDAV server you choose to use.
Diagnostics. Optional diagnostic reports are generated on the device. They are shared only if you copy or send them.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking across apps or websites.
- No sale of personal data.
- No developer-operated photo storage.
Third parties
Apple provides App Store, in-app purchase, and (if you use iCloud Photos) original-file download from iCloud. Your WebDAV or NAS host is chosen by you; Rollhome does not control that server.
Retention and deletion
On-device data is removed when you delete the app. Files already uploaded to your NAS remain there until you delete them. Apple manages purchase records. Rollhome does not create user accounts, so there is no in-app account deletion flow.
Children
Rollhome is not directed at children under 13.
